Divinum FAQ

All Questions

What is Divinum?

Divinum is a 2D hack-and-slash metroidvania by Sigil Games, released on Steam for Windows and Mac on August 28, 2026 at $14.99. You play Fjor, a young warrior born under the Fate of the Guardian, defending a northern island from invaders across forests, caves, catacombs and ruins.

How long does Divinum take to beat?

Sigil Games has not published a completion time, and the question is still open on the Steam discussion board. What is countable: the campaign runs through 8 boss fights, and the full-collection achievements require 25 runes, 11 skills, 19 Manastone shards and 12 Life Orb shards, with 9 runestone trials on top. The developer has described those trials as optional challenges, so a story-only run is shorter than a 100% run.

Are there any Divinum codes?

No. Divinum is a one-off $14.99 purchase with no in-game shop, no currency top-ups and no redemption system, so there is nothing for a code to unlock. Any site listing Divinum codes is describing a system the game does not have.

Is Divinum on PS5, Xbox or Nintendo Switch?

Not at launch. The Steam store lists Windows and Mac only, and the release announcement names those two platforms. The official site describes Divinum as a game for PC and consoles, but no console version, store page or date has been announced.

Does Divinum support mouse and keyboard?

Partly, and the developer answered this directly in the Steam discussions: you can rebind actions to mouse buttons, including extra buttons and the scroll wheel, but the mouse cursor is not supported for menu navigation. Steam also lists a Keyboard Only Option and full controller support.

Does the DualSense controller have vibration in Divinum?

Not yet. Asked about missing force feedback on the DualSense, the developer replied that vibration is currently not implemented but is on the list for future updates. DualShock and DualSense controllers are otherwise supported.

Is there a Divinum demo, and how much of the game does it cover?

Yes, a free demo sits on the Steam store page. The developer describes the current build as primarily a showcase of combat and buildcrafting, and says the full game has considerably more exploration and platforming content. The demo was last updated to version 0.39.1 for Steam Next Fest with an extended story prologue.

Does Divinum have different game modes?

The main game is a single-player campaign built around 8 boss encounters. Alongside it are combat gauntlets and the Crucible, plus 9 optional runestone trials scattered across the island; the achievement list also references a combat challenge mode where the combo counter mechanic is unlocked.

Is Divinum multiplayer or co-op?

No. Steam lists Divinum as single-player only, with Steam Cloud saves, Steam Achievements and stats. There is no co-op or online mode.

Why does Divinum look so pixelated?

Pixel art is the intended look, not a settings problem: Divinum is a hand-drawn 2D sidescroller and the store screenshots, trailers and library art all use the same style. A player raised the sharpness question on the discussion board; the game runs at 16:9 by the store's own recommendation, and windowed or non-16:9 setups can make the scaling look softer.

How much does Divinum cost?

$14.99 USD, discounted 10% to $13.49 during the launch window. It is a single purchase with no season pass and no microtransactions.

Who made Divinum?

Sigil Games, working largely as a solo developer. The release announcement thanks players for ten years of support since development began, and the game was shaped by a public playtest in 2025 that collected 422 feedback forms before the demo shipped.
