What is Divinum?

Divinum is a 2d hack-and-slash metroidvania by Sigil Games, released on August 28, 2026 for PC (Steam) and Mac at $14.99 after roughly ten years of largely solo development. You play Fjor, a warrior born under the Fate of the Guardian, defending a northern island from invaders across forests, caves, catacombs and sacred ruins.

The systems are the reason to read a guide. Combat runs on two primary weapons, aerial juggles, dodges, blocks and parries — the achievement list asks for a 555-hit combo and no-damage boss clears. The campaign runs through 8 bosses, from Klyssa The Deathspeaker to Executor Faust. Progression runs on 25 runes that change how you fight rather than adding percentages, plus 11 skills, Masteries and Fury. Collection runs on 19 Manastone shards, 12 Life Orb shards and Sanctite, with 9 optional runestone trials on the side. All of it feeds 45 achievements, nine of them hidden.

Start with the walkthrough if you are stuck, the rune list if you are building, the boss guide if you are dying, or the collectibles guide if you are chasing 100%.

Your First Two Hours on the Island

  1. Rebind before you fight. Actions can go on mouse buttons, extra buttons and the scroll wheel; the cursor does not work in menus, and controller vibration is not in the game yet. Details on the specs and controls page.
  2. Learn the block before the combo. Perfect Block and the dodge carry every early fight, and three Perfect Blocks in quick succession is already an achievement. See the combat systems guide.
  3. Take runes as build pieces, not stats. Runes change how you fight and often carry trade-offs. The rune list has all 25 and the five set themes the achievements confirm.
  4. Bank shards as you pass them. Manastone shards raise maximum Mana, Life Orb shards raise maximum HP — the collectibles guide tracks all 31.
  5. Treat trials as optional. The developer has said the runestone trials are optional challenges; clear the Crucible when your build is ready, not when you find it. See the trials guide.

FAQ

What is Divinum?

Divinum is a 2D hack-and-slash metroidvania by Sigil Games, released on Steam for Windows and Mac on August 28, 2026 at $14.99. You play Fjor, a young warrior born under the Fate of the Guardian, defending a northern island from invaders across forests, caves, catacombs and ruins.

How long does Divinum take to beat?

Sigil Games has not published a completion time, and the question is still open on the Steam discussion board. What is countable: the campaign runs through 8 boss fights, and the full-collection achievements require 25 runes, 11 skills, 19 Manastone shards and 12 Life Orb shards, with 9 runestone trials on top. The developer has described those trials as optional challenges, so a story-only run is shorter than a 100% run.

Are there any Divinum codes?

No. Divinum is a one-off $14.99 purchase with no in-game shop, no currency top-ups and no redemption system, so there is nothing for a code to unlock. Any site listing Divinum codes is describing a system the game does not have.
